Mission: The Military Wives Sisterhood is a non-profit organization founded by military spouses to provide empathetic support and friendship. We also ensure access to information, services and community resources. We are not deployment nor Unit specific, and, we do not discriminate based on gender, race, religion, marital status or place of residence. We consider ALL military spouses/partners equal members of the Sisterhood.

Vision: Partnering with other service providers and linking community members with important resources is a role the Sisterhood has undertaken voluntarily. A sense of belonging, a voice in the community, recognition of ourselves as an integral part of the whole and uniting in a common bond to make us all stronger are part of our vision to making the greater military family the best that it can be.

Goals: The Sisterhood believes that raising awareness and forging bonds within the Community ensures a unified, diverse culture, rich with healthy productive individuals and that ours is a not only a unique perspective but a special one that we have a responsibility to share.

About Us: Our first meeting was held in April, 2006 at the First Presbyterian Church on 12th St. in Brandon where we have found not only a meeting place, but, a house of support and continued generosity.
We meet monthly to hear informative and interesting speakers, share friendship, and most of all, to gather in support of ourselves and each other. Less formal events/activities include coffee evenings, potlucks, and Christmas Tree Harvesting on an ongoing and at need basis.
There are no fees for members and we are funded by community contributions and our own fundraising initiatives.
We see ourselves as a complimentary service provider and do not see ourselves in competition with other organizations within the community.
At present the email list for those interested in the events/activities of the Sisterhood is over 130 names and growing as the national community gains knowledge of the group.

For more info about the Sisterhood, or to receive email updates on upcoming events and activities call 204-725-3210 or email us from the Contact Us page.
